Car manufacturers and users alike seek seamless, voice-activated control over in-car entertainment systems, mirroring the convenience and functionality of smart home devices like the Echo Show. However, integrating Alexa capabilities into car systems becomes challenging when Amazon SDKs aren’t available or compatible with the system’s technical environment, requiring a fully custom solution.

We tackled these limitations by developing an entirely custom Alexa voice recognition client as a integrated WebApp, enabling integration within the car’s infotainment system. Our solution offers a fully featured user interface, optimized for in-car use, delivering a comprehensive voice-controlled experience for entertainment, navigation, and more. The application allows users to interact with Alexa’s full range of services while navigating a custom-designed interface that aligns with automotive standards.
